Brazil's Ministry of Justice briefly told the internet that World of Warcraft: Forever was headed to consoles, and the internet, predictably, lost its mind for about as long as it takes to refresh a browser tab. Then someone at the ministry fixed the listing, and the entry now reads Personal Computers, full stop. That's the whole arc. Measure twice, classify once, apparently.

The story started when Reddit user Rychillie noticed the title sitting in the Brazilian classification database tagged for console usage, a detail flagged by DayOne. For a few hours that was enough: a government paperwork entry became a leak, the leak became a theory, and the theory became the kind of thread where people start speculating about controller layouts for a game that doesn't officially exist yet on any platform beyond the one it's always lived on. I get the appeal. A ministry classification board isn't marketing, it isn't a hype trailer, it's bureaucrats filing forms, and forms feel like they can't lie the way a press release can.

Except they can, because someone typed the wrong box, and the correction came fast enough that this never got to graduate from clerical error to actual mystery. 'Personal Computers,' the entry now says, which is the least exciting possible outcome and also the only one anyone should have banked on.
