Blizzard Dodges Xbox Questions on Warcraft 3, WoW, Heroes
Windows Central asked three Blizzard leads point-blank if Warcraft 3, WoW: Forever, and Heroes of the Storm are headed to Xbox. They all gave the same shrug.

Ask Blizzard if Warcraft 3, World of Warcraft: Forever, or Heroes of the Storm are coming to Xbox, and you get three different executives saying the exact same nothing. That's the real headline out of Windows Central's BlizzCon 2026 sitdowns, and it's worth translating what "never say never" actually buys you: nothing, until there's a store page.
Warcraft 3 Project Lead Brad Chan got the direct question about console ports, given that Halo Wars and Age of Empires proved RTS can survive a gamepad. His answer: "Maybe, maybe not, I don't know... right now we're focused [on PC]." World of Warcraft Game Director Ion Hazzikostas was asked the same thing about WoW itself, right after confirming that WoW: Forever ships in November with native Xbox controller support on PC. His answer, almost word for word: "Our focus remains PC... many possibilities exist in the future, and we'll see where that leads us." Heroes of the Storm lead James Yen at least admitted the quiet part: any console or mobile move is a "star," not a plan, while the team focuses on not blowing its own comeback.
Here's my read. WoW: Forever runs on old-school graphics, hits 60 frames on basically anything, and just got a controller scheme built for it. That's a console port sitting half-finished in a drawer. Warcraft 3 is a PC game through and through, and RTS has never drawn a real Xbox crowd. Heroes of the Storm could genuinely work on a pad, Pokémon Unite already proved MOBAs can, but Yen's team is busy just keeping the lights on.
A controller scheme isn't a console release. Blizzard knows it. We'll see.
