Fans Are 3D Printing GTA 6 Collector's Box Items Already
Rockstar hasn't shipped a single collector's box yet, and somebody already printed their own copy of what's supposedly inside it.
Rockstar hasn't announced a collector's edition, hasn't priced one, hasn't even confirmed what's in the box. None of that stopped one fan from printing their own version of the goods anyway.
According to Insider Gaming, a social media post showed someone had already recreated items said to belong to a Grand Theft Auto VI collector's box using a home 3D printer. No word yet on exactly which pieces got copied, what the source design was based on, or whether Rockstar has any official collector's edition plans to actually match. That's the whole story right now: a fan with a printer, some filament, and more patience for this game than the rest of us combined.
That gap is the interesting part. GTA 6 doesn't have a release date carved in stone, a collector's edition on a store page, or so much as a confirmed price tag, and people are already manufacturing the merchandise in their garages. It says something about how starved this fanbase is that a rumor or a leak about box contents is enough to send someone to a CAD file and a spool of plastic before Rockstar's even opened preorders. This is the same fanbase that's been tracking a Vice City road sign like it's a moon landing, going by the site's own recent report on the GTA 6's Miami Sign Cracked, Rockstar Bill Hits $975,000 story. Nothing about this game ships on schedule, including the hype.
Credit where it's due: printing your own merch off a rumor takes actual effort, more than most of us put into anything GTA related besides waiting. But let's not pretend a fan-made trinket tells us anything real about what Rockstar will eventually sell, at what price, or whether a collector's box even exists in the form anyone's guessing at. It's a cool little flex from someone with a printer and too much love for a game that still hasn't given us a date. Everything else is still a guess dressed up as a preview. Print away, but keep the receipts, because when Rockstar actually announces something, half of this stuff is going straight in a drawer.
