A Fan-Made GTA 6 Map Gets a New Version, Not Rockstar
Rockstar has said nothing new about Grand Theft Auto VI's map, but a fan-built version just got an update anyway, complete with new counties, a raceway, and a fresh round of affiliate links.
No one at Rockstar has confirmed a single new location for Grand Theft Auto VI since the last trailer went quiet. That has not stopped the channel Project Vice from shipping what it calls version 16 of its own community map, an unofficial, fan-assembled composite built from leaks, guesswork, and the accumulated debris of two years of speculation, walked through in a video posted by Project Vice.
The update adds a revised Capri City, a new industrial stretch in Mariana County, a second industrial area in Leonard County, and something called Gellhorn International Raceway. There is an expanded look at Grassrivers, described as a wetlands region, an updated St. Joseph in Lummox County, and two new state parks, Anastasia and Fort Clinch, plus a stretch of coastline named Alligator Point. The video also flags what it frames as a new discovery resembling Key West, along with a Port Gellhorn Airfield and a port district to match.
None of this is Rockstar's map. It is a fan project reverse engineered from years of rumor, presented with the confidence of an official patch note.
Speculation as a Business Model
What is actually confirmed here is not a map, it is a revenue stream. The same video carrying version 16 also carries a storefront link for game key sales, a merch shop, a Kick stream, a Discord, and an affiliate deal for a gaming chair and a VPN. The map is the hook. The links are the point, and they would exist whether the new areas turned out to resemble anything Rockstar ships or not.
That is not a knock on any one creator. It is the shape of the entire pre-release economy around a game this anticipated: content built on absence, monetized while the absence lasts. Every delay Rockstar has not confirmed and every location it has not announced becomes raw material for someone else's ad revenue. The less the publisher says, the longer the runway.
