GTA 6 Store Tweaks and Dummy Boxes Spark Big Drop Talk
A wishlist button and a cardboard display case at Currys are being read as signs of an imminent GTA 6 push. Here's what's actually confirmed and what isn't.
A wishlist toggle and an empty cardboard box are not a release date, whatever the retail aisle wants you to believe.
According to Will Mac, the Rockstar Store got updated twice in 24 hours, adding the ability to wishlist out-of-stock items and get notified when they come back. That is a genuinely useful feature and also, conveniently, the exact plumbing you'd want in place before a 'big' restock event. Separately, dummy cases for Grand Theft Auto VI have reportedly started showing up at UK retailers, with Will Mac citing one already sitting on a shelf at Currys, alongside promotional posters appearing in shops.
None of that is a confirmed release date, a trailer, or a word from Rockstar itself. It's shelf-stocking and back-end store code, the kind of pre-launch choreography retailers run months ahead of a real date, and the kind of tea leaves this channel has built a whole format out of reading. Dummy cases exist so staff can plan shelf space, wishlist buttons exist so stores don't eat a wave of angry emails when stock runs dry. Both can mean a drop is close. Both can also mean absolutely nothing beyond a merchandising team doing its job early.
No official confirmation of a release window has come from Rockstar or Take-Two on the back of any of this, and Will Mac's video doesn't claim one has. Treat the dummy case as a retail prop, the wishlist button as customer service, and the 'something big' framing as one YouTuber's read on both. Test that theory against an actual announcement before you set a calendar reminder.
